Forensic Fluids Hosts Two Michigan State Representatives
On Monday, February 3, 2020, Forensic Fluids Laboratories hosted State Representative Graham Filler and State Representative Luke Meerman. A tour of the facilities was given, and ideas were exchanged regarding the future of Michigan’s oral fluid drug testing policies and laws.
Rep. Filler states “(I was) very impressed with the technology, very interested how our state can utilize it going forward.”
Also, “Oral testing with a swab is a simpler way to get results for roadside stops and other drug testing. The quick turnaround for the results (one day) brings certainty to what is otherwise a drawn out legal process.”
State Rep. Graham Filler serves the 93rd District in the Michigan House, which encompasses Clinton County and portions of Gratiot County. Rep. Filler serves as the chairman of the House Judiciary committee and is a member on the Energy, Health Policy, and Regulatory Reform committees.
State Rep. Luke Meerman serves the 88th District in Michigan House of Representatives representing the residents of Allendale, Georgetown, Tallmadge, Wright, Chester, Coopersville and Polkton townships in Ottawa County. Rep. Meerman serves on the House Ways & Means Committee.
